A beautiful traditional Edinburgh pub serving great real ale & craft beers
A proud entrant in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, the Windsor Buffet offers patrons a traditional pint in traditional surroundings.
Claiming also to offer ‘the Best Toastie in Scotland’, their success may be down to a mix of friendly and professional staff and equally friendly regulars. The Scottish Gateway Theatre used to reside next door, with the Windsor acting as the Green Room for performers. The full-length mirror opposite the bar was in fact a doorway to the backstage area and service bells and corresponding booth numbers can still be seen high around the bar’s walls. History aside, the Windsor is home to the Edinburgh Rum Club and one of the only places you can try Haggis Spring Rolls!.

Nice pub. Beer good and friendly staff
Very nice pub with an authentic feeling. The staff was nice, and the quality-price ratio very good.
Fabulous pub. Arrived on evening of music. Highly recommend listening to Graeme on a Tuesday night. Pub has fine selection of ales and some very special whiskies. Loved this pub. Friendly crowd.
Cosy wee place, had a couple of drinks and left. I think there was a quiz night planned as it was advertised, giving the impression that it had a regular crowd.
Great proper pub, great to see live Music and what great live music to via Sean Dineen. Would advise anyone visiting Edinburgh to look that little bit further out of the city for hidden gems like this one.
