Overlooking the famous Seaton Sluice harbour, our idyllic pub enjoys a beautiful location on the Northumberland Coast. Home cooked food, Real Ales & premium lagers, single malts and specialist Gins, log fires in the winter - what more would you want?
Hi, A warm welcome to The Kings Arms from Paul, Rita and Charlie your hosts since Feb 2010.
We are a traditional "old world" coastal pub (white washed / oak beams etc) with stunning views (especially from the Ladies & Gents!) of South Beach Bay & Seaton Sluice Harbour. We are at the focal point of many of the walking and cycle tracks in the area offering the weary traveller a warm, cosy retreat (no blaring TVs / Fruit Machines or Jukeboxes). We also offer a menu of competitively priced home cooked food of which we are gaining an excellent reputation for - please look at our attached menu. We have seating outside on a grassed and paved area overlooking the beach and its stunning sunsets. There is also a sheltered refurbished beer garden to the rear of the premises (see images).
We were awarded a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence 2015 based on their customer reviews of us - so why not try it for yourself, you will be most welcome - cheers!.

Great pub with gorgeous views, friendly atmosphere and good service. Really great pint of Guinness served, very enjoyable.
Decided to go here for a meal this lunchtime, for the first time ever. (I've always gone to the other pub/restaurant nearer the main road.) I was able to park right outside for my elderly uncle to get in without too much difficulty! We ordered drinks which we got immediately and food a few minutes later. I chose the Minted lamb hotpot with mashed potatoes and melted cheese on top and my uncle chose the hadock and chips. We chatted for just a few minutes in this lovely old pub before being served with our meals. They were absolutely delicious! There was a load of succulent, slow cooked lamb with vegetables in a gorgeous gravy under the mash and cheese. Alongside was a half crusty sub roll with butter. I should have taken a photo but my bowl was nearly empty before I remembered! My uncle said his fish tasted really fresh and his chunky chips seemed like homemade! We will be back! As we were going out I remembered I'd forgotten to pay for the meal so I got my uncle to sit down on a picnic bench and went back in just in time to catch the barmaid coming to chase after us! We couldn't do a runner after a meal that good!!! (We can't run anyway, he's 87 and I'm 65!) 😂
Lovely seaside traditional pub in a super location. Went in for a quick drink and staff made us very welcome. Food looked good and we will try next time we are in the area. Pub is comfortable and cosy with bags of atmosphere.
Nice County style pub tucked out the way next to sea front, this place reminds me of how pubs used to be, didn't eat however seems that is what most people in the pub did. Beer was decent however a tad expensive at over a fiver a pint staff where friendly enough. Would I use again? Yes good amount of outside seating for a cold pint on a hot summer day walking the beaches.
Amazing food! Great service. Brilliant pub. The starter, Asian style pork belly with chilli and scallions was amazing. I drank the sauce like a broth, the best starter I've ever had. It was outstanding and was tempted to order it again for a main course. Prawn cocktail was tip top and it was nice to see someone make an effort and take some care with it as it totally paid off. Pie of the day was Steak, onion and mushroom in an ale gravy. I'm not a fan of a puff pastry lid but it did the job and the amount of pastry was brilliant. The pie was delicious and full to the brim. The beef Baguette was star of the mains. Best roast beef I've ever eaten and the baguette was perfect. Gravy is sensational. Thick and full of flavour. The chips were perfect. When I think of pub chips, that's it. Dark, crispy edges and soft and fluffy in the middle. Kids chicken bites with chips were a good size for a kids meal. Fresh and tasty. Onion rings were lush, crispy batter and a good portion. Best pub meal I've had for a long time. The staff were brilliant!

Welcome to our menu page - all of our main courses are created and cooked on the premises (no boil in the bag freezer vans deliver to us!). We source all of our main ingredients from local small business to support them as much as possible and one day we hope to develop this into only using local produce but in the current climate this is not commercially viable - at least our money is not going to faceless multi-nationals in the meantime!
Please click on the links below to bring up our Weekday & Sunday menus - a bit of something for everyone! Booking on a Sunday is highly advisable - just give us a call.
