About us

Born in Edinburgh, in 1771, Walter Scott produced a string of highly successful novels, such as Rob Roy and Ivanhoe. Knighted in 1820, Scott practically reinvented Highland society and the clan tartan. His interest in things Scottish led him to rediscover the Scottish crown and sceptre, which had been left, forgotten, in Edinburgh Castle. He also fought a successful defence of Scottish banknotes, with his portrait on current Bank of Scotland notes, in memory of his efforts. Sir Walter Scott died in 1832, with a grandiose monument erected to him eight years later in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh.

Tried for Mushroom Benedict and it was very good! Hollandaise sauce was creamy and superb! Muffin was so-so but poached eggs was OK. Though they have great food yet

Had breakfast here. Food was cold, yet tasty. Service is good. You gotta race other customers to get a table. It is ok to have a pint at 8am, no one judges you.

This restaurant is located inside Edinburgh Airport. We were flying out on a Friday evening and this place was packed. It was an incredible atmosphere, so much chatter and noise. Despite all that we managed to get a table and we were served very quickly. We were also pleasantly surprised the food arrived so quickly and the standard was extremely good. It was an excellent visit for us and a great start to our holiday. I had the chicken burger and it was very tasty.

Dissapointing burger a small light burger bun (White bread). You can add ketchup etc yourself. But 11£ is overpriced. The chips was ok. The beer was not as cold as wanted. But we were in a hurry, and the serving was quick.

Very quick service despite being really busy, food was decent value considering they will be paying Airport rent / overheads. The staff always are pretty pleasant and helpful. I usually pop in here each time I am at the airport on business or pleasure. The seating area across the walkway is always best to sit, in my opinion. Tables are usually always cleared fairly sharp
