No food served when we went but lovely pub cosy and welcoming
We visited twice over the Christmas/New Year period. Unfortunately food was not available so I can't mark food. Our first visit was very quiet & we enjoyed a drink in front of the coal burning stove. It was lovely. Our second visit was much busier, I'm guessing mainly locals as there was plenty of friendly banter between the tables & staff. I would definitely return next time we are in the area.
Great place and really welcoming look forward to going back there
Great traditional pub. Friendly staff, good food and cask ales.
It's a proper pub with real homemade food. You might wait for it a bit longer but it's worth it to get real home cooked food not bought from a mass caterer (eg. The Mushy peas are soaked and boiled properly). Julie and Paul are great.
