Great venue,polite staff,dog friendly unless they are yapping and the owner can’t control them!
It used to be a lovely, family and dog friendly place to call in for lunch or coffee, early dinner etc. Not today. The service was awful. Even though it wasn’t busy nobody came over to clear the table before we sat down so we did that ourselves. No hot drinks available as it was the wrong time of day. The woman behind the bar was short on patience, difficult, unhelpful and certainly not an asset to Tomfoolery. The dog friendliness was non existent. I asked for a water bowl and was told to look for one myself. Barking isn’t tolerated. We were warned we’d have to leave if it continued. It didn’t, but if you accept dogs and are happy to take their owners money, then you have to compromise here. We definitely won’t be back after today.
Collected a large 16 pizza order from these guys via Just Eat. Staff were pretty cool & they worked hard to fulfil our order on time. Didn't have a drink, but this place looks pretty cool for a night out.
Quite good food although mine was a tad cold. Good quality eggs and smoked salmon. No napkins given. Knife a little blunt to cut bread underneath salmon and eggs. They except dogs which is good (when you have one!) Although some guests let their rather large ones sprawl all over the floor, making it difficult to manoeuvre around the tables! On the whole it was a nice stop off after a long walk around beautiful Boston Spa 😃
I’m appalled at the service! I am visiting from the USA (originally from Leeds) and had friends from London up in Yorkshire with me. The manager Nathan was so rude when I asked why it was taking 25 minutes for a coffee!!! A coffee!!!!!!! All he had to do was apologize, he got defensive and told me I can get my money back. He then gave me £3.50 what he wasn’t aware of was I also ordered food! He basically threw my money towards me at the bar. The place was not as busy as the day before yet the service was terrible. If they were short staffed why wasn’t the manager stepping up to help? All he did. Was sit in his chair looking at his laptop!!! Come on Yorkshire! You’re better than this! I’m also going to call and make a formal complaint. I 100% get that you were busy. However, being rude is a whole other ballgame!!!! Get out of the service industry if you can’t have good manners!!
