Traditional Yorkshire pub. It has seats, serves beer and has a fire. Also a telly with sport on it. If you want to chat, chat. If you want to be left alone, don't chat. Good service from an honest, hard-working bunch of people.

This was a gripping pub to visit, with a stone based design taking one back in time! The counter is well presented, staff were friendly and the curtains add to the setting. I enjoyed a cheap pint of Guinness, sitting comfortably at a clean table!

Great atmosphere, took 2 children had 2 small brunches, 1 pizza, 3 cokes & 2 beers £23, bargain for a afternoon out.

Most warm and welcoming pub in town. Great atmosphere, greated with open arms, even my Canadian self, transplanted thousands of miles from anyone i knew, 5 years later I still think fondly about it. I hope it never changes.

Best pub in Batley with great real ales and wines. Brilliant live music venue. Surroundings are clean & well styled. The chef is excellent! Ask for the garlic breaded chicken....even if not on the menu. It's fantastic!
