About us

The Lynd Cross was the 14th-century name of the junction between the Bishopric and Springfield Road, now the site of this Wetherspoon pub. The first record of a building at this address is in the 1930s, when it was the Old Horsham Bakery.

Not the same place it was a few years ago. I grabbed a menu from the holder, it was covered in sticky, dried urine. The whole place is filthy and in desperate need of renovation. Food quality was acceptable, but portion sizes have reduced significantly and prices have gone up. I don't expect much from any Wetherspoons establishment but this one is notably bad. Not somewhere I'll be going again.

I am really impressed with the quality of the food, the service, and the price! My traditional breakfast was cooked to perfection 🍳👌🏻

Appealing ambiance very much accentuated by the staff. Pot bellied seagulls were standing on the tables outside eating the left over plates that hadn't been cleared away. Really would be a treat to be served food from those; no amount of detergent would persuade me that's not dangerous from a food standards perspective.😔 Bar staff had a real attitude...surly, inattentive, believing the bar should be run around their wiles, not the customer. Found an alternative bar at the other end of West Street. Spent a pleasant few hours there instead.

Visited here on 04/08/23, my experience was magnificent! Food and drinks were very tasty and quick service considering the busy Friday night it was. Compliments to the chef that evening as mine and my partners food was delicious (fish and chips and the vegan pizza)! The two young girls on the bar were so polite and efficient even with the busy rush, made my experience truly amazing! Recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Visited here on 15/07/23. Was not impressed with the service or wait times. The young lad serving food and drink needed to learn customer service skills. Beer tasted duff/off too. This was my 102nd visited Spoons that is still open for business. Was not terribly impressed. It is rare that I walk away from a Spoons thinking 'why did I bother?' The only saving grace is the 'Top Plates, Low Rates' offers currently on. A note to Wetherspoons HQ - a branch that needs improvement! Visited the branch in Crawley earlier in the day, far better!
