We were there one Sunday evening recently to which there was a superb rock/blues band playing. It was very busy with a great atmosphere

what a welcome suprise
popped into the boat for a drink last night and found a gem in the making what a atmosphere the resaurant was full of diners and the landlord was calling out the bingo numbers to the customers apparently this happens every weds night form now on what a hoot!!!
the log fire was a blaze many locals inside first time i have been here since feb 11 and how it has changed the place was so welcoming i have read some reviews on here and i think those who have had a bad time in the past should return and see it now.
booking our wedding anniversary meal there next week such lovely people are running it and they have only been there a week carry on what you have set out to do this is juist what this place needed

the perfect venue for a nibble and a saving!
popped in for a snack and had a blt bacon ciabatta to be precise and how i was amazed that the chef who apparently has bought the pub last week with his wife told me that he carved the pig this morning !!!
the food was excellent and very pocket happy met a chap who has a band and going back when they play "dogtooth" is there name and i heard their cd it sounds great
this place is the place to be i think you wont be dissapointed
regards keep up the good work guys youre on to a winner i my eyes

lively landlord that is very welcoming, a lovely log fire, upcoming events, good music for inside the pub and live bands for outside the pub.

the perfect pub for a good day out with the family
It wasn't a particular good day out because there wasn't much sun and the weather seemed to be rather groggy but nevertheless we still decided to go out for a nice meal, so when we got to the pub the weather seemed to pick up a bit but not much and when we got inside the pub it was extremely welcoming and there was two bouncy castles for the kids which was very good for them and the food was fantastic and i would highly recommend the pub to anyone who wants to have a good day out.
