The Tyneside Irish Centre provides a meeting place for the Irish community, their friends and relations, but our welcome extends to all.
The Tyneside Irish Centre is located in Gallowgate, in the Heart of Newcastle upon Tyne.
It has played a major role in the Newcastle upon Tyne community. It is a place of gathering where members can come together to socialize and engage in cultural and educational activities. It aims to be a source of help and advice for the Irish Community seeking to promote Irish values and culture, particularly through music, language and sport.
Been here for many a function. Fundraiser, random night out, wake. Proper social club atmosphere, decent prices, always great entertainment.
Good city centre club. Its well maintained and does a very good job in terms of promoting Irish culture. Friendly atmosphere and very good service and beer. Have not tried the food.
We used the upstairs as a venue for a dance show, which actually worked well. Unfortunately the downstairs was rammed with older men, which made us rather uncomfortable coming and going especially in costumes. However if you're of that demographic you'd probably enjoy it as it is very lively.
A piece of home away from home. Tyneside Irish centre you have rocked my world. I will be back, soon.
Love it sing on stage 3 piece band the beautiful Francis singing like an angel Lovely day out singing and dancing with old friends
