Great value, all day, everyday. Proud to serve one of the best pints in Whickham while supporting our local microbreweries.

Went to the crown tonight...bought two drinks for my partner and me ..my partner's drink was a vodka and pepsi max..but was given a drink with ordinary pepsi...tried to change it but they said I said pepsi...so had to pay £5 for another drink!!!! Will not go again especially when there is better service in Whickham...and if there was no bouncers at the door...it would have just been us two 😀...if this was what the service is like...maybe this is why it's empty...bring back the dirty habit
Used to do karaoke for Tucker and it was Dirty Habits now its back to The Crown brilliant atmosphere disco and Live bands are back
The Crown is the bar to go to in Whickham after it's recent refurbishment. The staff are always friendly and the venue itself boasts a large open area upstairs which often hosts local bands and football screenings. The only reason I have not gave a full 5 star review is because 1) I have not tried the new menu after its change and more importantly 2) The unfortunate removal the pool table. Please bring it back.
Tried this restaurant this lunch time, explained had to catch a bus In 30minutes. Chef came over said would be ready asap. Food came in 10 minutes (hot dog and toasted sandwich with fries) delicious and well cooked. We will be back again great service friendly staff.🥰
Love the fact that dogs are welcome, food has been superb everytime we've been. Lovely friendly staff, absolutely spot on for a local 🍔🍻

It's very easy for us to say that Gibside pub is pretty cool. But that's because there's not many pubs tucked away in an 18th-century estate. Wondering what all the fuss is about?
