Joint with my brother and our respective girlfriends, we tried some typical pub foods. I ordered a Steak and Ale pie, joint with mashed potatoes. It was a small portion, so we ordered an apple pie to share. This last one tasted a little weird so we didn't even finish it. But the Steak and Ale pie was delicious.
My mom and I stopped in on Boxing Day for lunch after strolling through Notting Hill in the morning. We had delicious Fish n chips, sour dough loaf, mulled wine and toffee pudding to finish. Everything was so delicious and the staff and vibes were excellent. Hopefully I’ll be visiting London again another time to return for another nice meal and drink.
Best pub in London, arguably best pub in the World. At the very mouth of Portobello Road, right in magic Notting Hill, come for food, ales, service, smiles. Leave some space for dessert and a shot or two of whisky, and soak it all up. Worth coming to London just for The Sun In Splendour. You won’t regret it. You will leave promising to yourself you’ll be back.
Came here for a Sunday Roast lunch after walking around Notting Hill. Waited a bit for them to open at noon. Food was great, serving portions were large.
Buzzing little pub at the end of Portobello road. We grabbed a table for dinner on their back patio - not a fancy spot by any means but a good place to enjoy fresh air on a warm September evening. Service was friendly and attentive and food was first-rate. Would definitely come back.
