Place was empty. Format has not changed in many years so it should work. Nobody seems to support the local leisure industry in this whole town anymore.
We went to the Retro bar to watch a friends band play. The bar staff were lovely, a little pricey for drinks I'd say....for a bottle of beer and a pint of coke was £8.60. I went into the ladies toilets, they were clean but a little dated...they still had everything you need including mirrors for days! But it was quiet as well as it was still early. I may just have to come back when it's a bit busier to get the Retro Bar atmosphere and buzz.
Great little find on a Wednesday night. Loved the music, may less so with some people's singing 🤯 but that is all part of the fun at a karaoke bar, isn't it? Loved the decor. The bar crew were on it and quickly served people at the bar. The DJ drag queen was amazing.
This bar has been up and coming since the new management, it's all you could want from a brilliant retro bar.. and gr8 door staff..
Always end up here on a night out. Great music that everyone knows and can have a dance too. And the fish bowl cocktails are lush!
