Pie and Ale house! Choose your Pie, Mash, Peas and Liquor. Wash it down with one of our tasty ales and enjoy within one of Newcastle's most unique venues.
Wellllll, quite frankly we’re a little bored of salads and couscous. What’s wrong with the good old blighty Pie and mash with a pint of real ale sat round a log fire with your nearest and dearest? Things are all to often forgotten…
So, what we decided to do is take a grand old building down the Newcastle Quayside that had bags of natural character and give it some tender loving care, stoke the fires and stock up for the winter with great ales and Handmade quality pies. Pretty simple really we’re not complicated chaps we just care for great food, beer and banter.
An amazing place to eat. The pies were lovely and the venue was unique! We will definitely be coming back.
First time here, great cosy and warm setting, good music and funny chatty staff. Food was absolutely banging and there was decent drinks, can’t complain for the price either. Would absolutely be back again
Really nice historical pub. I just love the way the inside is filled with nooks and alleys of its own. Its in a really great part of town and fits in perfectly. Recently had food for the first time and it won't be the last. Whats not to love about a pie and a pint!
Came here on a recommendation by a local and so glad I did. The pie was amazing and served with skin on proper home cooked chips, fresh peas and gravy. A dog friendly pub. 10/10 highly recommended and will definitely be back again to try one of the other pies on your menu.
Great food , good staff, dog friendly and a good price. It's been a while since I last went but my most recent visit was just as good. It can get busy at times but we went in the bob trollop side. The tikka pie is really nice fully recommend. It has a really good old vibe.
