I went last weekend Amazing place, people, staff, show & vibe. My friends & I had the best time. I haven’t been to such a friendly club for a long while. I Would highly recommend it for a brilliant night out.
We visited the nightclub with friends we had not seen for a long time with high expectations of having a fun and memorable evening as we have many times before, however, our experience was quite the opposite. Upon arrival, my partner was accused of being over-intoxicated and slurring his words by the door staff, despite only having consumed a few drinks prior to arrival. My partner has a strong German accent and a speech impediment which may have contributed to the miscommunication, as I tried to explain. We found the door staff's accusations to be discriminatory against his accent and speech impediment. He was by no means displaying any other signs of intoxication because he WAS NOT INTOXICATED. Once my partner was allowed entry to the nightclub he bought two bottles of champagne inside. However, after stepping out for a cigarette 30 minutes later, he was denied re-entry on the same grounds of slurring, despite only having consumed one glass of additional alcohol during his time inside. We feel that this was extremely unfair, particularly considering that other patrons who were clearly quite brazenly drunk were allowed entry without question. We all left the club deeply saddened at the behaviour towards my partner. We understand that door staff have a right/responsibility to refuse entry to individuals who may be over-intoxicated and are trained in these situations for the safety of patrons, however, we expect that this decision is made fairly and without prejudice. My partner was by no means displaying any signs over over-intoxication and was targetted because of his speech. We would appreciate a response from you regarding the discriminatory treatment we received.
Ridiculous door staff. Kicked out our friend because he was slurring - he was German and didoes does not speak English as a first language. When asked for an explanation the door staff declined to offer anymore of an explanation besides “we have made a decision” I’ll be leaving a new one star review every day until I get my money back
Stayed at the Royal Garden Hotel next door and popped in with a few friends, the venue was beautiful. Really friendly staff, was a little quiet but i think we arrived just as they opened. Will definitely be returning.
Place is the real deal. If you like new relevant house music, good cocktails (one of the only places I’ve gotten a real Manhattan in London), and a great millennial vibe, this is the spot. Open later than any other place in Kensington; hidden gem!
