Pint was ok , playing all the alt classics you hate , mixed with a few good songs . Dogs in bar was a bonus
Kerrang! is on the TV but i can’t hear the music. It’s like they don’t want me in the table screaming to A7X, what is this, i thought this was a free country?
Had a great night and a few drinks with the friendly staff. 100% the only TRUE metal bar in York that we have found. Excellent ambiance and music selections. The Girls on the bar could not have been more accommodating and friendly, they are what make the place!! Give the girls a pay rise! They are what made us stay and spend more money!!!
For one of the only late night boozers/dive bars you'd think they valued every single customers that brings them money, no matter if they are metal enough to be accepted in this place. However if you're not friends with the bar staff they will treat you like absolute rubbish and with the most unpleasant manner. If you haven't learnt yet - you work in customer service and if you hate customers so much, why waste your time?
Decided to include The Artful Dodger in our epic York pub crawl. It was a Thursday evening and unexpectedly empty. It's an alternative pub so expect good rock or metal music and the bar itself is quite cool. I imagine with a few more patrons it would be pretty awesome though.
