The Old Swan is one of the most famous hotels in Harrogate, with a history going back nearly 200 years.
Surrounded by pretty lawns and gardens, and just a short walk from the town centre and the Harrogate International Centre, it combines Victorian splendour with contemporary luxury.
From its revolving doors to its famous glass-ceilinged Wedgwood Restaurant, the Hotel exudes romance and mystery. It was to this tranquil haven that the mistress of crime-writing, Agatha Christie, famously disappeared in 1926, resulting in a public furore over the 11 days that she could not be traced.
Guests can now enjoy 136 contemporary-styled bedrooms, the famous glass-ceilinged Wedgwood Restaurant or newly refurbished Swan Lounge and Bar.
With several reception rooms, capacity for up to 300, and ample complimentary parking, The Old Swan is the perfect spot for Harrogate conferences, weddings or private parties of all sizes.
We look forward to seeing you here soon.

Lovely period hotel, nice spacious room and beautiful communal areas. Enjoyed the lovely open fires and comfortable seating areas. Delicious buffet breakfast with hot and cold choices.
Just spent New Year's Eve here. Stayed for 2 nights. Overall we had a great time. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast were brilliant. The rooms are a little dated and beds too small but clean and well equipped. The only disappointment was the Gala Ball dinner. Can't believe they served steak. How was that ever going to work? I would stay here again though as very close to the lovely town
A great New Years Eve party and overnight stay. Food and service both very good. The downstairs rooms are lovely. Sadly the bedrooms need a bit of TLC, however this didn't detract from our enjoyment of the occasion
Well placed for Harrogate town center. Car parking can be limited at busy times. Recently refurbished rooms and reception areas look good and are clean. Staff very helpful and reasonable food menu and reasonable drink choice. Afternoon tea selection is good and reasonably priced compared to other offers in the town.
Loved this traditional hotel with many kept values for good service, polite attentive staff. Warm, Spotlessly clean. Lovely original cornice in the large bedrooms & restaurant. Even the squeaky floors. We had an issue with broken sink so were moved to front of hotel overlooking beautiful Harrogate. Food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this time capsule hotel. Thanks to all staff for a lovely stay.
