Great pub and such a good atmosphere. Have visited a few times over the years after staying in Norfolk and it never disappoints. Even better was the fact they had a beer festival on which was great. Special mention to Julie who was a brilliant host
Myself and my partner had a tasty burger meal, he had it from the special board with big onion rings had to be done 😊 while my mum had a chicken dish. Was cosy Accpeted dogs which was a bonus as I had my Jack russell with us so she came along too, friendly staff not bad prices.
Lovely pub, lovely staff. However… very poor food! Extremely cheap low quality ingredients. Not even real “ham” (see photo). The cheap supermarket reformed pork that’s made by jet washing the leftover pork off a pigs carcuss, collected in the drains, then they add water and all kind of flavouring and additives to glue it together and taste something like ham. They’re made to look like slices but I can assure you that’s not sliced freshly from the hock of a ham! Poor burger, shop bought cheap coleslaw, dry chicken… etc etc it’s so disappointing when you eat out, you pay top pub prices (£14 for a salad) and it’s much worse than you eat at home 😞
An extensive menu, but when I ordered, paid and sat down, I was then informed I couldn't have what I'd ordered. A bit late!! So I ended up having something I didn't really want, just so I didn't have to mess around with adding extra money. Also, if you're the one chatting to the bar staff it's really nice, but if your the one behind them waiting to give your order it can be frustrating especially when there were other staff there, looking /seeing me, but did nothing about it. The food was good, so I will come back. There is a large car park for visitors to this pub.
Good atmosphere. Easy to park and next to the beach. Serve food and drink. Reasonable prices. Toilets are clean and accessible. Outside area/ seating good for children. They allow dogs in the bar. We didn't book a table but got seated straight away. June 2023 we visited tonight for food. We had Seabass and Texas Chicken both meals were beautifully cooked and well presented. Portion size I would say was medium. Service was quick and efficient. I had strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake and my husband had apple crumble and custard, both were lovely and tasty. Reasonably priced food. We would eat here again.
