A couple of interesting facts about us include the fact that our historic pub is named in memory of George IV's secret first wife. When still Prince Regent, he secretly married Catholic widow Maria Fitzherbert in 1785. The marriage was declared illegal at his father's behest, because George would have been ineligible to reign with a Catholic wife. We are located on Villiers Street, which gets its name from George Villiers, the Duke of Buckingham.
The Princess Of Wales is one of many rare gems in the Nicholson's collection of great British pubs, reputed for their distinctive buildings, intriguing history and vibrant atmosphere.

Came here with my family for lunch. We wanted to try some different pies. The vegan pie was amazing! Having more variety of pies is very awesome! The service was great, thank you to Kara for taking such good care of us!
We had a great night out, great service, really good food (fish&chips) and perfect drinks! 100% recommendation, we will surely come back.
Had a lovely lunch and some refreshing drinks. The staff here are very friendly and it is easy to order food. You get asked if you have an allergies before order. We had a lovely meal all for £28 and then a round of drinks for £9! Very good considering it’s London! Would love to come back as the atmosphere is great and welcoming.
A welcomed stop during a long day of walking. The pints were cold and the food was warm and very tasty. Enjoyed people watching and the bar atmosphere while we were there. It was a little busy but got a great booth by the window. I am glad we stopped by.
We ate at the Rudyard Kipling Dining Room above the pub and it was fantastic. There were plenty of pub food classics to choose from and a couple of unique options as well, like the Nourish Bowl (I got grilled and chicken added to mine and it was delicious!). Classic beers on tap and plenty of other beverages to choose from. The desserts were amazing as well...the Sticky Toffee pudding was worth every calorie. There's nothing like the cozy atmosphere of a British pub and the ambiance of this one didn't disappoint. Service was friendly. Prices were reasonable. And the food and drink was perfect. Highly recommend!
