Standing proudly on the corner of Forest Road and Chingford Road is our landmark pub, The Bell.
The Bell has all the elements of the great British pub. With 8 hand pulls serving a constantly changing selection of lovingly cared-for ales, and a well thought-out selection of lager and craft beer alongside a refreshingly unique wine list, you are certain to find the right tipple.
Our kitchen is open throughout the day serving fresh seasonal honest food. A secluded beer garden flanks the side and rear of the building, sure to make the most of the fabulous London summer!.
Was a lovely experience the locals that drink here are top notch extremely friendly and courteous. Staff are nice except this one little rat that rushed us out and made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome shouting for us to leave after spending our good hard earned money in this establishment. When we left after ringing the bell like the Grinch himself on Xmas eve. He wished us all that we should all die of cancer! 😲 The Bell will never be the same and myself and friends will no longer drink here. Shocking behaviour
Booked the private room for an office Christmas meal. Nice room (with access to a covered garden which would be lovely in summer). Comfortably seated 30. Food was good and served nice and hot with faultless service. No mistakes with anyone orders and everyone left happy. Good value too. It can be such a challenge finding good service and food at this time of year for a large group. A special thanks to Laura the kitchen manager and Dean front of house who had been so helpful in the planning. Would definitely book again.
Rachel is fab! Lovely atmosphere, great service. I came with a friend that struggles with communication Rachel was very understanding, patient and kind. She acknowledge my friend’s needs and really made her visit a very pleasant one! Would recommend visiting, one of my favourite pubs. :) Thank you Rachel! From Megan & Kelly x
A delicious vegan roast dinner, beautiful (secret) beer garden, friendly staff and ample space. Averagely priced pints, but a great selection of reasonably priced pint accompaniments.
The bell is a great local pub with a huge indoor space consisting of both smaller tables and chairs as well as sofas and booths. The bar is well stocked with the usual spirits, mixers and beers as well as a few rarer finds both soft and alcoholic. There is a pinball machine and also a selection of board games that can be brought to your table for a £10 deposit which you get back when you return the game. The beer garden is lovely in the summer and has both shady and sunny spots however a large part of the garden now has a canopy that blocks out all of the sun which is quite chilly to sit under even on a sunny day. This section of the garden was better when it was open air and could get the sun. The food here is outstanding for a local corner pub, in fact any pub with large portions, full of flavour and fairly priced, you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is relaxed and suitable for lunch, dinner or even a gathering with friends or after work drinks with colleagues without the need for booking.
