I have been walking through the Village today Sampling the delights. Loved the Londesborough Arms. "A Pubby pub" Good service, great atmosphere. I ordered a Roast and a Pizza, Fantastic food. I hope to return before I head home. Really enjoyed the visit. Thanks.
My retired parents stopped off here for B&B before continuing their journey up North. They report: 'Cant fault the place - owner and staff very welcoming and helpful, room very clean and comfortable, excellent freshly cooked breakfast to order by a lovely lady - the veggie sausages are homemade - nice atmosphere in comfortable surroundings in this quiet historic village. Will most definitely stay there again if in the area as we really enjoyed our stay.'
Most meals we had were very good with generous portions. Steak and ale in yorkshire pudding was really tender and tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. The tea was a bit weak for me and and the fish batter was soggy but that won't put me off trying their steak night as it looks great value. Food is such a personal thing.
Atmosphere was good, staff where attentive. The food portions where very good on the carvery and the standard of food was very good. Only criticism was the roast potatoes weren't crispy but that's all.
Lovely village pub, food was brilliant service was brilliant we were a good size party from out of town with kids and they found us a space looked after us superbly. Locals interacted with us too and even played "tig" with our kids. As tourists to the area this place is a diamond of a find and we will certainly be going back.

Striking copper bar with leather club chairs and coin topped tables by the fireplace - enjoy drinks without dining. A great choice of wines, many by the glass, local craft beers, lagers & ciders, spirits & cocktails. Dogs are welcome in the bar.
