Old school student pub, lovely landlord and lady looked like fun
Great pub with a vibrant atmosphere. Student friendly, huge beer garden and great food (especially the burgers). The landlord and landlady (and their dog Clyde) are what make this place as great as what it is. They make the effort to personally get to know their regulars and go above and beyond. As former students of Loughborough and now locals to the town this is unquestionably our favourite place to go and Dave always makes a big fuss over us when we enter!
INCREDIBLE pub had my birthday there last weekend everyone had an amazing time and are excited to come back! The owners and staff 10/10 every time! Always helping with drink recommendations! Amazing hospitality! Dog Friendly! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 10/10 🔥🔥🔥
Amazing pub, lovely staff they couldn’t be more welcoming! The pub owner Dave is very dedicated to having a friendly and happy atmosphere that makes you feel safe. Couldn’t recommend This pub more! There’s also a dog (Clyde) who is super friendly but if you don’t like dogs then they will put him away with no hesitation. Best pub in Loughborough by a mile!😊

The Generous Briton has been at its current site since 1937 making it one of the oldest pubs in Loughborough. What’s more amazing is that it sits on the same grounds as an original pub that was opened in 1837…now that’s history!
