Best pub in East Manchester!

I've been using this pub for many years now and I can honestly say that it's quite simply the best pub around. The food is always varied and tasty, the staff are attentive and do their best to please the customers. There's always a good atmosphere in the place and I also believe that in Sue they have the best barmaid in Manchester.
I would recommend this pub to anyone, I've entertained friends from outside East Manchester in there and everyone has spoken of the high standard of food and drink..
You can also get the local ale - Hornbeam brewery is situated in Denton and they usually have at least one of their beers on sale.
I think that Chris Freeman and his staff do a fine job and provide an excellent food and drink experience. Long may it continue!

SHAME SOME CUSTOMERS DON'T GET ON WITH SOME STAFF

Situated in the suburb of Audenshaw, this once privately owned house dates back to 1870. Sympathetic changes have been made, including the addition of a large conservatory, but features from the original Victorian house have been retained, including old-fashioned fireplaces, tiled floors, high ceilings and beautiful stained-glass windows.

From the moment you step through the doors, prepare to be seduced by the pub's classy interior. A beautiful chandelier lights up the cosy, intimate bar area, which leads to the restaurant upstairs. Peruse the main menu and specials board while sipping a beverage of choice; the bar is fully stocked with a comprehensive choice of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks. You can expect a wide range of choice from the menu; a typical starter might include a homemade beetroot and goat's cheese tart or Scottish smoked salmon on a potato and chive cake, while the mains menu boasts an impressive selection of traditional dishes.

Perfect for those times when you may be in somewhat of a hurry, the Fairfield Arms offers a convenient pre-order service. So, if you're on a strict lunch hour, or perhaps on the way to the cinema or airport, you needn't worry about waiting on your order - instead, simply relax and enjoy your food in plenty of time.

Making the most of the stunning building in which it is housed, the venue lends itself perfectly to functions. Why not consider the Fairfield Arms for a wedding reception, birthday party, business conference or summer party? The function room, located in the basement, boasts its own bar and offers enough space to accommodate up to 90 guests - just call to discuss your requirements.

With its unique exterior and excellent location, a visit to the Fairfield Arms is a must. If you're looking for somewhere a little different to dine, your search is over.

could so love this pub!!!

I go to this pub often as it's the most characteristic pub in the area with a great garden area in the warmer months. Eaten here a few times too and the food is not bad for the price, would eat here again. They always have deals on of some kind, lots of choice on the menu. I think what this pub is lacking in, is customer care!! This so spoils the customer experience!!

This is so frustrating as this pub has the best to offer in the area!! I must point out that the owner (think he's called Chris) is very pleasant and a lovely man, he provides excellent customer service and he always makes you feel welcome.

Excellent choice of wines and a good variety of food, love the free newspapers to read too. This pub really tries hard to please their customers.

Please, please, please I could really love this pub if you give your staff some customer service training (you must know who I mean), they need to understand why your business is not booming, with a few more smiles and customer care, it could be!!!
