This old buoy of a pub and restaurant near Southampton has seen all the comings and goings of the Hamble Marina since 1751, and what better place to eat and drink in Bursledon than our covered pontoon and lovely outdoor terrace.
The place is really cute and the view amazing. Staff is friendly but the food could be better. My beef was too cooked and the salmon wasn’t very juicy.. very disappointed with the food to be honest.
A true English pub with low ceilings, beams, a fireplace, lovely views and great beer. The food was excellent, the portion sizes were very generous and the espresso was spot on. Tables are laid out in a way that feels cosy and not overlooked. Staff were friendly and efficient. We'll definitely be back!
Really beautiful location but every time we go in for a roast they’ve ran out of most things! Disappointed when they offered another table cauliflower cheese after telling us they didn’t have any only 10 minutes before. Most staff are friendly but on this occasion our waitress wasn’t the most pleasant. Shame. (Dessert was amazing!)
Local friends brought us here to discover British culture. We just loved it. The design and decoration is great, always something to look at. It was nice seeing people on canoes leaving and coming (sunny day). The menu had a lot of variety. I was surprised by the poke bowl just amazing! Would definitely come back. Staff professional too!
