Nice pub, poor service, poor staff, no food, no garden it's a concrete smoking area, poor selection of beer/wine, it's the worst of the eighties in a pub

For a 'village" local this is a poor pub. Way overpriced for such a poor selection of beer and wine. Staff are not rude but could be called ignorant. They cannot remember the drinks you had in last round. This is for two people who have been coming to pub weekly for five years!!!. The landlady has no interest in pub other than to see her clan. Lurch behind the bar is the worst barman in the history of pubs. Though maybe if he pulled his trousers up and smiled this may improve. The landlord seems to care and does try though he sticks to his crowd and ignores new customers and visitors. There is no food available which in this day is a sin. The beer garden is a concrete square for smokers only. Ita a shame but this place will vanish unless they change or move on. Its like the worst of the eighties in a pub. The locals still visit as there is nowhere else to go. come on we need better.
