Good pint but perhaps a bit expensive.

Seems to be more about the food these days

The Red Lion has seen several attempts to make it a good pub. The current people are making a good effort, but their focus on food seems to be at the expense of other customers. V&T with no lemon and very little ice, white wine in a warm glass - all at the same time as the bar lady was on the phone to people making a phone booking for food rather than paying attention to us as customers - pretty poor really, but dead easy to fix and then you've got a pretty good pub.

Good to see this local pub offering good food and drink - much better than before it was done up.
