About us

WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE ROAST

Here at Toby, we believe there’s only one way to do a beloved Great British roast — and that’s to do it properly. Every morning from 5am, our specially trained chefs are working hard preparing each ingredient that makes us known as the Home of the Roast. We give our meat plenty of time to cook to succulent perfection, so that when it’s carved each one is juicy and mouth-wateringly tender.

While the meat cooks, we slice, dice and prepare our seasonal veg, always from fresh. Our famous potatoes are peeled, chopped, ruffled and roasted from scratch everyday. Wonderful wonky Yorkies are cooked from scratch and crisped to perfection to tower above your plate. We take pride in everything we do, so you can enjoy the perfect roast any day of the week.

You’ll find loads more on offer, such as tasty specials, all you can eat breakfasts and even comfy accommodation at some of our restaurants. Children will find plenty to choose from on our family friendly roast dinner menus too. .

It was poor. Look, granted it was busy and they clearly didn't have enough staff on. There was no communication. After a nearing half an hour wait to get seated (I booked as well). We were told it would be at least a forty minute wait for the carvery. No doubt it would have been longer and I doubt we would have had full access to available food stuff. We decided to call it there and go elsewhere. Now, if the on duty manager had explained the delay to everyone waiting in line then we wouldn't have been so iritated by the end. It was a waste of an evening.

Had a carvery here New Year's eve. Ate in the bar area, as that allowed us to take our dog into the place. Good was good, fresh, hot and tasty. Decor is a little bit tired and starting to get tatty, but the staff were friendly and helpful. Would happily go back again if in the area

We needed a room to accommodate between 40 and 50 people to enjoy a lunch to celebrate our Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Coopers Room at the Brockworth Toby Carvery fitted the bill perfectly. 43 of us enjoyed their two course festive meal , and the food was great, so was the service. It felt very private in the room once we had collected our main course, and the desserts were served to us. We were also allowed to play our own recorded music, and look at our photographs on the TV screen. Thanks to Ben the manager for his help in making our anniversary a great occasion.

Can't fault the food however more attention needs to be taken in regards to cleanliness. The salt and pepper shakers were absolutely disgusting and blocked. Really put me off my food. Won't be returning to this Toby carvery.

A typical Toby carvery that serves a full carvery meal every day with 4 different meats (turkey, gammon, pork and beef, with the addition of lamb on a Sunday). It was enjoyable enough but today it had a very odd cabbage dish that didn’t seem to gel with the carvery and gravy. It has a normal menu too and a well stocked bar. It has a lovely, dog friendly beer garden. All I would say is as much as I appreciate you have to cater for the majority, the whole thing could do with the addition of a little more salt. The meat though was perfect.
