Lovely pint, but the pub was rather quiet

The pub has been closed for a while after the last landlord left and re-opened just in time for mother's day.

Went along to have something to eat, unfortunately the new card machine hadn't arrived yet and we were a little short of cash.

Managed to scrape together the pennies to share a starter - of duck samosas with celeriac and creamed walnut - which was absolutely delicious.

Hopefully everyone will start to flock back to the pub soon, but this evening was a tad quiet.

The Crediton folk festival is coming up in a few weeks time and the pub is always a focal point of that.

Had a really good night in this great local pub that manages to serve good food at the same time as remaining a true local's boozer. Will definitely be back.
