The Navigation Public House is a traditional pub built to serve the Inland Canal Port of Shardlow on the Trent and Mersey canal. It was for a long time the only remaining Davenports House in the area. There is a restaurant areas on two levels and outside seating to front and rear patio area.
Had a late lunch today, found a non reserved table , ordered food , it was served very quickly , food was well presented & good value for money , homemade lasagne was tasty & plentiful , served with salad & chips , we also ordered a chili con carne , came with salad & chips , throughly enjoyed our lunch , staff were pleasant & very helpful , checking in on us to ask if we were enjoying our chosen food , even meeting a dear lady Iād not seen in a lot of years unexpectedly as she was just leaving . Would highly recommend this lovely pub & resturant , looking forwards to going back & sitting outside next time, as a great view of the barges on the canal .
Place looking a lot better now! Nicely refurbished! Happy to see it back open! Just need that pool table now š
This pub has just been taken over. We wish the new owner good luck. Lots of improvements needed. A good start would be to clear the 100s of cigarette ends. J
A great pub, lots of choice on draught and bottle drinks , and very good prices š a friendly warm welcome from the new manager Dan and his wife Nikki, the bar area and toilets were nice and clean, and the outside area had plenty of seating with heaters, which were very welcome on our visit as it was a bit cold. There is also a lovely play area for the kids. Would definitely recommend and look forward to our next visit.
I went with my daughter to the children's Xmad party. The best children's party I have been too. The Entertainment was fantastic. The proprietors were very welcoming and the locals provided the food for the children. Couldn't fault the premises and worth a visit.
