We have an extensive wine list and more than 20 high-quality gins, which you can enjoy under the open fire during the winter months. A fantastic beer garden and play area will entertain your little ones while you can sit back and enjoy!
We are passionate about good food, beer and wine. We have an excellent selection of real ales, alongside our large range of draught products.
We also love gin and have a cracking choice on offer, including a locally distilled gin from Chesterfield.

Absolutely superb food and service. Different areas of the pub to suit all… dog/no dog, bar area (open fire) and well appointed restaurant (the crab room!) outdoor terrace area weather permitting. Outstanding service from Charlotte following many changes of booking. Thanks Charlotte and team Peacock - see you again.
Beautiful place, first time visit for me and my partner. Quick service, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Fantastic young man serving us, didn’t get his name so hopefully management see this, we did leave him a tip on paying. We Will be back with family and plenty more visits. Thank you
Had actually booked for another Peacock, without realising but this place was absolutely lovely. Food was delicious, hot and service was good. Not an extensive menu but dishes cooked fresh and presented well which is always preferred. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Atmosphere was nice too.
Very nice, cosy place, clean, interesting decor details focused on Peacock. Great staff and service. We stopped just for a quick cup of tea, but I am well impressed. Thank you
We popped into the peacock after a weekend winter walk around the reservoirs with our dogs. When we came in we weren't sure if dogs were allowed but were told that that we could sit in the bar area which was perfect. With an actual fire and some lovely decor it was really cosy. We decided to just have some drinks and sandwiches. To our pleasant surprise the sandwich and chips were full plates and really tasty. All the staff were very friendly and saw to our orders quickly. Overall we would be very happy to come back and would like to try the evening meals at some point.
