We had a works meal there, was lovely and tidy,great staff, service was amazing. Staff very friendly. We got served straight away at bar,even though it was quite busy. Food was great. Definitely recommend for all.
Wonderful place. Hidden gem of a place. Beautiful building. Great food. Good price's too. Table service is quick. Only lost star because bar service was very slow and lots of cocktails was unavailable due to lack of ingredients. Cocktails that was available were not made correctly. Apart from that great place to eat with family or friends.
I went there on a Friday night for a carvery a week before Christmas and it was a shambles with the pub being under staffed and the queue to buy dinner and drinks was long because only one person was taking orders of the food and drinks, while another member of staff was serving tables, drinks ordered on the Stonehouse app. The staff that were there was rushing and making mistakes, with plates and glasses smashing on the floor. Food was OK not great, but what do you expect for a carvery costing under ten pounds. The pub looks tired and well used because of how busy it gets, staff are overworked at a busy time of year in December, they try their best but it does not work with morale at a low that reflects in dealing with customers. My opinion it's a dirty place with stains on the walls and carpets, toilet doors stained with so many hands pushing them open. When I next want a carvery I will not be going to Wolverton house again. It's the same thing a pub overwhelmed by so many customers that service is poor and staff not being managed properly.
Easy to book, busy but efficiently run by well trained staff. Lovely Sunday carvery, with tasty meat and a good selection of sides.
There is a lunch time carvery... And meatless option for £2 less. So, it is well priced. Pub drinks at pub prices mashed this place a nice place to eat and drink. Secluded place to go to. Also they have pizza, although looks like thin crust
