Quirky bare-boards 19th-c local with four particularly well kept changing ales, two or three good continental lagers on tap and many other beers from around the world, friendly staff, no food, dark panelling, snug old corners and lots of nautical and other bric-a-brac, additional side and back rooms; background music (can be loud); no children and a bit too steppy for disabled access, pavement picnic-sets, open all day Fri-Sun.

Me and my dad came in here for a few drinks the other day, prices are okay, atmosphere is lively and staff are nice. Many thanks
A proper pub with good atmosphere. Always busy and that is for good reason. With the amount of trendy bars and coffee shops in Ashley Cross a little wander up Parr street you will find true genuine friendly locals. Good vibes are a definite here.
Fabulous place with lots of nooks and good beer.
Did not eat. However, if you wish for a peaceful time with like-minded people the ambience is mature and conversation in full flow. Relax and enjoy.
