What a find.. the outside doesn’t do the justice this little pub deserves. Service was brilliant when I turned up last night, both myself and my beagle soaking wet. We were made to feel very welcome and beagle got some doggo treats too. It’s little things like this, that as a solo female traveller makes it much easier to walk into pubs by myself. Thank you for making us feel very welcome, and the 80 Bob was delightful.
Absutelty amazing From Karen the bar staff to owner Gordon and Keith truly amazing we met intersting people farmer who just sold his farm and wanted to travel tbe world stumbled along this by accident and never left shame we were too intoxicated to stay for the card night till we meet again love from the postcard girls xxx
The owners and staff at the black horse are an absolute gem. For a small character pub in the north east of Scotland they sure pack a punch. This place does not disappoint and you'll meet truly lovely individuals.
Great local bar and the owners always try to look after you as much as possible. Its great for chilling out with pals and playing some darts. Theres usually a bit of buzz in the place no matter what time of day you visit. I would prefer more choice of beer from tap and the fridge with some quality IPA's etc but hey still love it.
