I can't comment on rooms as I've not stayed there but from the amazing food and service we had when we went for a meal I would HATE to put their score down!!! Staff were AMAZING!! The food was AMAZING!! Only thing we would have liked more of was light outside to see the sea. We understand that's probably not optional at this time of year. We CANNOT wait to come back in the summer for the seafood platter.... AND THE SERVICE!! amazing staff beautiful location and AMAZING food!! Will be back!! Xxx
Absolutely thrilled by the dining experience I had in their restaurant. I was very impressed with the menu and the quality of the locally sourced ingredients. I will definitely return to try more dishes from their menu. Great table service as well.
Looked like a lovely place to stop for a meal and drink. Unfortunately, we turned up on New Year's Day without a reservation, so we missed out as nowhere to sit. Will return on a quieter or warmer day when we can make use of outdoor seating area if full again
I recently hosted a baby shower event at the White Horse and it was incredible! Rob, the manager, was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that our guests had a high end afternoon tea experience to be remembered. The table was filled with beautiful sandwiches, pastries, scones, tea, and champagne. Our guests are still talking about how polished and beautiful the presentation and service was during our shower. I could not be more thankful to Rob and his team for their assistance in creating these memories with my English family in the UK as an American living in the US. I didn’t think I could plan and host an event long distance but this team made it easy. I highly recommend the White Horse to anyone who is looking for a classy experience that is sure to wow their party and guests.
A "go to" destination if you are looking for an up-market pub serving quality seafood in this area.. We both had the Grilled Seafood Platter which, in all honesty, was a little disappointing. One oyster, 3 small mussels, 4 or 5 king prawns, two shell-on prawns and a piece of white fish, probably cod, for £34 was a bit overpriced. It was busy and the service was very slow and acknowledged but we graciously accepted a small discount on our bill. Apart from those issues, the staff were great, friendly and professional. Would give it another try.
