Even better after a mini-refurb.

I've always loved the Ox - it typifies a well run village local that serves locals and visitors well. I'm happy to report that it's now even better. They've spent a few quid opening the bar and eating area up, and it really works. Brilliant!

Great pub - could serve drinks better

The Ox is a really great local pub. Roaring fire, cosy room, everyone having great banter and playing darts.........the drinks and the food are great too...but why then serve vodka and tonic in a cider glass and local Wylam Ale in a Theakston's glass? Perhaps a bit picky, but just annoying.

Don't let this put you off though, it really is a little gem.

Great village pub that serves good beer and food. Perfect spot in beautiful countryside.
