Falstaff, Southport

The Falstaff on King Street, in Southport, is operated by Adrian Davies a local born and bred landlord trained in local Southport College in Food & Hospitality and is a well-known figurehead around the Southport area.

Adrian has spent the majority of his career working in leisure industry around the town and on the 14th May 2007 he took over The Falstaff Pub with the intention to turn it around into a strong community local pub, where young and old, come together harmoniously and enjoy the features of a local hostelry.

The Falstaff 2 years on, the remarkable turnaround has astounded the Southport community and since recently saw landlord Adrian Davies come runner-up as "Proprietor of the Year 2009" in the well-regarded Southport Ambassador Awards.

Adrian and his team also came Second Place in "Team of the Year 2009" also at the Southport Ambassador Awards.

The Falstaff in 2007 did the famous "Campaign for Real Chips" to highlight the strength of the food operation within his business where Adrian marched down Lord Street with his regulars and Bootle & District Concentina Band back to The Falstaff to try the real chips.

The Falstaff in 2008 carried out "Meet the Brewer" which saw the Legendary Pub Doctor Edward Theakston employed by Scotish & Newcastle hosted a talk in front of the local Real Ale community about the success and turnaround of The Falstaff from 2007 to the present day.

Adrian Davies and his staff are commmited to being the forefront of the community pub and would like to invite all new and old customers into The Falstaff to enjoy a true success story of a Manager and his team that have achieved over the past 2 Years, and the customer service level that we strive to uphold in our daily business operation.
